About Namutebi

Namutebi is a passionate and resilient woman from Uganda, whose life story is a powerful testament to strength, love, and purpose. At just six years old, her parents separated, and her father—who had been the family’s sole provider—left and never returned. With no education and no job, her mother was left to raise Namutebi and her brother alone. Unable to afford rent, the small family moved in with Namutebi’s grandmother, where survival became a daily struggle. Her mother worked tirelessly, going door to door to wash clothes and clean homes just to feed her children. In those times, even a single meal felt like a miracle.

Despite the hardships, her mother’s determination never wavered. With savings from her many hustles, she eventually opened a small local restaurant. Namutebi began helping her mother in the kitchen at a young age, learning to cook and contributing to their survival. That restaurant marked a turning point—it provided just enough income to send Namutebi to school. Though she was a bright student and earned sponsorship, financial struggles continued to follow her throughout her education.

Still, Namutebi remained focused. She promised her mother that she would work hard, succeed, and one day help children going through the same struggles she did. Being forced to move from house to house due to lack of money, only pushed her to study harder and dream bigger.

She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management, choosing this path to equip herself with the tools to serve her community. In July 2024, Namutebi joined MWIMPP (My Wife or Woman Is My Power and Protection)—a moment she describes as a dream come true. Through this organization, she is now living her purpose: uplifting others with compassion and power.

Namutebi’s dreams are deeply rooted in her experiences. She hopes to one day build a large hotel for her mother—a symbol of how far they’ve come from being chased out of rental homes to owning a place that welcomes others with food, rest, and warmth. She wants the hotel to be a daily reminder to her mother that their pain was not in vain.

In addition, she plans to start a poultry farm, an idea that came to her during Christmas 2024 when she delivered chickens to families in need. Growing up, chicken was a rare and treasured meal her family could nearly never afford. Now, she wants to give that joy to others—making sure that families who can't afford it still get to experience that celebration. The farm will also provide jobs and income for others in need, helping to lift up more lives in her community.

At her core, Namutebi is a woman of heartfelt purpose, born from hardship but driven by love. Her story is not just one of survival—it’s one of vision, legacy, and hope for a better tomorrow.
